7 Nurgle Warriors (600pts)

Another 7 Nurgle Warriors, with standard. Unlike the last unit, which were classic Citadel sculpts and just painted, these are my own conversions that are made in my vision of how mutated and grotesque Nurgle can be. Lots of bitz, greenstuff and imagination went into these (maybe 10 years ago!) but they are very much based on some of the imagery from the Lost and the Damned and now they’re complete with their display tray! So that is a cumulative total of 1870pts for just three units... and lots of rank and file to come...

  1. Great creations, just like a vintage WD 'eavy metal gallery page. Belly face is hideous, his pal next to him with the long claws has the creepiest head from any human sprue, eww. Not sure whats going on with the third guy with the 3 strange brown things over his head, weird, I like his slimy armour. At the other end, cool bubbling water, dread to think what the tentacle belongs to. Really like that deformed banner bearer, someone rolled badly on the mutation charts, ouch. One of the coolest weapon mutations on mr sickly green guy - spikey mace hands, nice, you sure he's a conversion? he should be from a blister pack so I can mail order one.

    1. Belly face and mace hands are my two favourites, the latter is actually running towards us with his maces flailing behind him, I was really happy with that quite dynamic conversion. The one with the 3 brown bars over his head was supposed to show him trapped in his Chaos Armour.. The tentacle guy was based on the cover art of the Lost and the Damned. Thanks, as always for your feedback and contribution to the blog, it's very much appreciated!

    2. Prisoner in your own armour, I like that. Thanks for the explanation, this dark revelation added a whole new level to my liking the miniature.

  2. Suitably disgusting, I love them. I shall save a copy of the paint scheme to inspire when I paint my Mordheim Carnival of Chaos

  5. I am utterly in love with your basing recipe! The tentacle reaching out and grabbing the blade is my favourite bit. Just awesome!
