You may have seen these before, as a previous blog post showed how I had finished painting all 11 of the original
Citadel Nurgle Warriors well there's now another 3 models added to make it up to the magical number 14, in two ranks, with a standard. That's a hefty 1120points right there in 3rd Edition Lost and the Damned numbers.

As you can see, I’ve re-set up my attic scenery space, as I had to pack it all away when the builders were here. It’s so much better for taking decent photographs of wide units.
So these and the Beastmen give me a grand total of 1270pts thus far, I think this army is going to be a lot of points!
Fantastic work, Stuart - this is a really characterful bunch of old-school monstrosities! I really like the variety of tones that you've got in there, & the incredibly-detailed basing.
ReplyDeleteCheers! Painting with a broad palette keeps my interest up a d, I hope, is a slightly different approach to a Nurgle force. I'll be going quick, dirty and uniformed for my undead one day. They are great, characterful sculpts and I wanted to lavish some attention to the bases, so as not overlook them as I have on previous armies..

DeleteI like that wizardy miniature aiming the snakestaff next to the guy with the jezzail, scary unit, and with my favourite classic-styled nurgle banner I've ever seen. Always a pleasure to see collectors obsessed by the "magic numbers" of their patrons.
ReplyDeleteThe God's numbers are silly really, but I just can't choose random or "optimum" quantities for a unit. It also gives me a limit as a collector! The sorcerer guy is a great model, had to be on the front rank (coincidentally choosing who was present at the front was a head ache in itself - as was ranking them up!)
